Manages certification and compliance filing programs in a manner that continually strives to reduce the entry barrier into the programs by developing and maintaining training tools, aids, and processes.
- Maintains accreditation in accordance with ISO/IEC 17065:2012, Conformity Assessment—Requirements for Bodies Certifying Products, Processes and Services.
- Leads global certification and compliance programs.
- Promotes certification program and leads business development by participating in industry meetings and trade shows, including making in-person and webinar presentations to existing and potential members.
- Works with cross-functional teams such as the laboratory, advocacy, standards, and marketing to provide program oversight and instruction.
- Identifies and implements improvements to internal or external facing systems and processes used by these programs and their participants, including the use of AI.
- Provides effective leadership and management of department staff including hiring, onboarding, training, performance reviews, coaching/mentoring. Fosters a positive team environment and supports ongoing team development.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with minimum of 7 years of related experience and staff management.
- Experience in a testing and certification environment desired with experience in the HVAC industry a plus.
- Ability to develop and implement strategies and build business plans.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple department objectives, staffing and budgets.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management.
- Experience with Quality assurance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and other programs as required, including AI.
This position is in-office and may be partially remote and mainly consists of computer work and talking on the phone or in-person. Both domestic and international travel is required for up to 10% of the time.
